In 2003, Dr. Samuel Lin founded Applechem within the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Operating from a small laboratory, Applechem conducted crucial research and development during its early years. Their aim is to unlock new possibilities for cosmetic formulators and contribute to the industry's advancement.

 

Their focus on developing cutting-edge functional materials paid off in 2006 with the introduction of the widely used G-Block product in sunscreens. As the company experienced continuous growth, they relocated to a larger facility in Parsippany, New Jersey, in 2016.
