Benecel® A4M
Benecel® A4M is a high purity, water-soluble cellulose derivative sourced from wood. Benecel™ methylcellulose (mc) performs many functions, depending on the type, grade, use level and conditions. Among these functions are film formation, thickening, binding and water retention.
The polymeric structure of these products, which is different from other cellulosics, improves cohesion and texture. Small amounts of Benecel™ MC can significantly enhance emulsion stability as well.
Benecel™ A4M has a viscosity range of 3,000 to 5,600 cps and particle size of 170 to 250 micrometers. Typical gelation temperature 56 – 64oC.
